Throughout the school year we are always looking for fun ways to work on sight word recognition and spelling. I came up with 3 different sight word worksheets to engage my students using different materials. In each of these sets I have included over 150 sight words to take you through the whole year!

Stay tuned to the end of this blog post for a freebie so you can try these activities for yourself!

Rainbow Writing

Kindergarten sight word literacy centers to practice sight word recognition and spelling. A fun and easy way to work on sight words the whole year.

Our students love anything with dice, so this activity is always a hit. Students roll the dice, then use the corresponding colour to trace the word. Once they have used every colour, they can write the word on the lines or you can challenge them to write a sentence with the sight word in it.

Stamp a Sight Word

Our students love using stamps, and this activity is great for having them practice their sight words while having fun! You can have them practice writing the sight word, or you can have them write a sentence with the word in it.

Dot it, Trace it, Write it

Dotting the sight words is another fun way to practice writing them. You can use q-tips dipped in paint to dot the letters. This not only works on their sight word spelling, but exercises their fine motor skills too. If you do not want to use paint, you can use any other fun tools- highlighters, markers, crayons.

All these activities are available on their own, or you can get all three together in a bundle at a discounted price:
