Symmetry Center: Practice symmetry skills with this fun and engaging math center. Students love recreating flowers along the line of symmetry.
Pattern Block Flowers is my new math pack that works on line of symmetry based on real flowers. It comes with 16 cards, each with a different flower that needs to be completed along the line of symmetry.
Here is how I have been using these cards in my class for the past few years:

This pack includes two work mats, one in color and one in black and white for students to use with the cards. There is also a worksheet for students to create their own flower if they are interested.

Students will pick a flower task card and use pattern blocks to recreate the image along the line of symmetry. This can be challenging at first for kindergarten students, but once they understand how it works- they love the challenge of it!

All of the flower task cards are based on real flowers, and look similar to them. You can look up pictures of the real flower to show what they look like.
