Kindergarten Math Problems: Can you fix it? Kindergarten math problems to work on addition and subtraction skills. Reinforce writing number sentences with these fun task cards.
My new math pack- Can you fix it? is now available on Teachers pay Teachers! It was inspired by my teaching partner who wanted to get our students to stop making the same mistakes when they were writing their addition and subtraction sentences.
math problem task cards
I’ve included 16 task cards in color and B&W and 2 recording sheets so students can learn to fix mistakes when they are writing their own math sentences.
how to use the task cards
I’ve used these cards a few different ways:
- Whole group lesson: these cards can serve as an easy number talk or input lesson. Discuss what a number sentence looks like, and how we can fix the common mistakes we see.
- Write the room: place the cards around your classroom, and students can use the recording sheet to fix the number sentences.
- Math center: have the cards at a table, and students can use the recording sheet or a whiteboard to record their answers on how to fix the number sentence.
