Number Sense: Teach and review number sense skills all year long with these hands-on and engaging math activities. They focus on a variety of concepts and counting principles.
I have started to create bundles of my products to make it easier for buyers to get sets of my packs that go together. I began with my Kindergarten Review: Sight Words and now I have put together a review bundle for Number Sense.
Each of the activities that are included will work on a different counting skill or principle. This will help students create a deeper understanding of numbers, and how they work. You can get more information on The Counting Principles in a series of blog posts that I wrote.
Decomposing numbers
I Can Make Five and Ten has students making the numbers 5 and 10 in different ways. These work great with 2-coloured counters (affiliate link) since they can really see how the number is being broken down.
It includes a work mat that you can laminate and reuse and a worksheet for the numbers 5 and 10. Great practice for composing and decomposing numbers.
Number Recognition
Kindergarten Number Sense Work Mats includes 10 different games: 4 roll and cover, 4 spin and cover, spin and graph, and spin and write work mats. You can pick the activities that work best for your students, and focus on the skills they need.
Differentiating math centers can be difficult, so I made sure to include a variety of skills in this pack.
Stable Order
These Missing Numbers Task Cards will help students learn and understand stable order. It involves 3 different activities where students need to fill in the missing numbers.
Again, you can pick which numbers students are working on to differentiate the math learning.
