The beautiful fall leaves have inspired our students to ask a lot of questions about the colour changing process.
To help them learn and explore the different parts of leaves and why that happens, we created a fall leaves inquiry center.
It was easy to set up: an information book about leaves, some nice leaves they found outside (I mac-tacked them to keep them nice), some magnifying glasses, pencils and a sheet to record their findings on.
I like this simple recording sheet because it helps the students focus on what they are looking at. They are able to ask questions and write about what they know, or draw a picture if they don’t have the writing skills yet.
I am offering this sheet as a FREEBIE! You can download it in my Resource Library!
