Braille alphabet wood tiles

My boyfriend came up with the idea of making wood tiles with each letter of the alphabet on it. Each tile has the letter and the braille writing drilled into it. This way, students get to explore the braille alphabet during literacy centers.

My boyfriend used a drill press to drill the holes for the braille alphabet and I used a wood-burning tool to write the letters in the corners. I then used wood stain on each tile to give them a more finished look.

The tiles came out really nice and I’m excited to see what the students do with them.
