I made a fun writing prompt for our students to share their adventures from March break. They will not only be practicing their writing skills, but they will get a chance to share their experiences with the rest of the class.
This writing prompt includes 2 different versions: March Break or Spring Break and corresponding letters that can be sent home explaining the take home activity.
This is a great literacy activity that can be used in two ways.
1) Send home the letter (included) and writing sheet (included) before the break and have them write what they did with their family. When they come back to school, have them share their writing with their peers.
2) Use only the writing prompt in class after the break for students to write what they did over the break. They can then share with their peers.
I am excited to see what the students bring back with them and to hear about the great things that they do!
