St-Patrick’s Day Activity: Literacy center to reinforce sight word recognition and spelling. A hands-on activity for st-patrick’s day fun!


I am constantly trying to reinforce and practice sight words with my students. It can get boring doing the same activities, so I came up with a series of building with sight words activity packs.

Students use the pieces to build different items, and this St-Patrick’s Day themed has students make a Sight Word Lucky Clover.

I’ve included 46 sight word petal pieces and there is also an editable PowerPoint file that you can use to add your own sight words.

I laminated the petals and work mat so that I can reuse this activity year after year. Students can record the sight words they used with a whiteboard marker.

Our students have a lot of fun with them, and since I have used a few different sets they don’t need to have it explained to them every time I take it out.
