We are constantly trying to reinforce and practice sight words. It can get boring doing the same activities, so I came up with these building with sight words activity packs. Students use the pieces to build different items, and this one has students building a lucky clover for Saint-Patrick’s Day.
There are 46 sight word petal pieces and there is also an editable PowerPoint file that you can use to add your own sight words. I cut out the petals and put them in baskets so students can reach them easily. Then I laminated the work mats so that students can build on them, then record which sight words they used.
Our students have a lot of fun with them, and since we have done a few of them, they don’t need to have it explained to them every time we take it out. If you would like to take a look at some of the other versions I have of this activity, you can take a look at them here:
